Privacy Policy

Midterm Brief is operated by Eric Garcia Gracia, an individual publisher based in Spain. Contact: [email protected]. Full identification details are in our Legal Notice.

What happens when you read

There are no reader accounts, newsletter forms, advertising tags, analytics tags, or social tracking pixels in this version. Article search and topic filtering run in your browser. We do not send the terms you type to a search provider. Fonts are hosted with the website.

Hosting and technical information

The site is hosted through Cloudflare Pages. The hosting and network-security services may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser information, and request times to deliver pages and protect the service. We do not claim that visiting a website is anonymous. Platform processing is governed by its own terms and privacy policy; its retention periods are not controlled by this publication.

When you contact us

If you email us, we receive the address, name if supplied, message, and attachments you send. We use that information to respond, investigate a correction, or handle your request. Our contact mailbox uses Gmail, which processes messages under Google’s privacy policy. Please do not send sensitive identification documents or information about another person that is unnecessary for your question.

Purposes and retention

Technical processing supports website delivery and security. Correspondence is used to answer your request and keep a necessary record of its resolution. Under the GDPR, these activities rely on legitimate interests in running and protecting the publication and responding to requests (Article 6(1)(f)), or on a legal obligation where applicable (Article 6(1)(c)). Future optional processing that requires consent will rely on consent (Article 6(1)(a)). We normally delete routine enquiries within 12 months after resolution. Necessary correction records may remain with the article history, with personal details minimized. Records needed for a legal obligation or an unresolved claim may be kept for the applicable statutory period. Provider-managed technical records follow the provider’s retention rules. We have no advertising audience database, automated eligibility decisions, or audience profiling.

Cookies and similar storage

The publication’s own code does not create cookies, local storage, session storage, or a reading-history profile. Hosting or network-security services may use necessary storage outside that code. See our Cookie Policy for the distinction and browser controls.

Advertising: current status and future changes

Google AdSense is not active on this version. No advertising request is sent by our application. If Google advertising is introduced, third-party vendors including Google may use cookies to serve ads based on previous visits to this website or other websites. Google’s advertising cookies can enable Google and its partners to select ads based on those visits. We will update this notice to identify the active vendors and purposes before enabling advertising.

You can manage Google personalized advertising through My Ad Center and learn how partner-site information is used at Google’s partner-site privacy explanation. Participating third-party choices are available through the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out tool. These links do not themselves enable advertising on this site.

Sharing and international processing

Our service providers process information to provide hosting and email. We may disclose information when required by law or necessary to address abuse. We do not sell contact messages or share them for cross-context behavioral advertising. Providers may process information in countries other than your own; their privacy policies explain the safeguards they apply.

Your privacy choices and rights

Depending on your location and the applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive a copy of personal information, and to object to certain processing. You may withdraw consent for any future optional processing through the consent controls then provided, without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing. Send requests to [email protected]; we will assess and respond under the law that applies. For GDPR requests, the usual response period is one month, subject to the extensions and exceptions permitted by law. You may complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) or your competent data protection authority. Browser Global Privacy Control signals do not change this version’s behavior because our application does not sell data or perform targeted advertising.

Children and external sources

This publication is intended for a general readership and does not knowingly solicit personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has supplied personal information. Following a source link takes you to a separate website with its own privacy practices.

Changes to this notice

We will update this page when the site’s processing changes. The date above identifies the latest revision. Contact us about any privacy question before sending information you are unsure about sharing.

Our site code does not currently set cookies or browser storage. Advertising and analytics are not enabled. The hosting platform may use necessary storage for delivery and security.
